Our purpose: The purpose of the PTO is to enhance and support the educational experience at Atkinson Elementary, to develop a closer connection between school and home by encouraging parental involvement, and to improve the environment at Atkinson Elementary through volunteer and financial support.
Will I have to volunteer a lot of time?: Only if you want to! One great aspect of the PTO is that you may volunteer as much or as little as you like. Monthly PTO meetings are held at Atkinson Elementary School Library on the 2nd Tuesday (unless otherwise noted or announced) at 7 pm. This is a great way to find out about our different volunteer opportunities. You may also visit our facebook page for updates. What if I don't know anyone on the PTO?: Don't worry! The PTO is a great way to meet other parents and teachers of Atkinson Elementary. The PTO parents are welcoming anyone to our organization. The meetings are also a great way to find out more about the PTO and what's happening at Atkinson Elementary. How do I become a member?: Well actually, you already are! Every parents, teacher and administrator at Atkinson Elementary are automatically a part of the PTO.
